The Rig That Built the Bay Shore Name

Rooted in the original LōDril design, the DH Series is Bay Shore Systems’ proven line of excavator-mounted foundation drills. Since 1990, LōDrils have helped contractors reach difficult work, drill beneath overhead restrictions, and complete deep, large-diameter foundations where conventional rigs could not operate. Built for reach, versatility, and long-term reliability, many continue working decades after their first job.

Built Around the Excavator.

Engineered Around the Work.

For decades, Bay Shore has configured LōDrils around the excavator, the jobsite, and the foundations customers need to build. Each DH brings together the carrier, rotary, winch, kelly bars, and mast configuration required for the work–from low-clearance drilling and extended-reach applications to deep large-diameter foundations. With models spanning a wide range of excavator weight classes, we work with you to turn the right carrier into a complete drilling system.

The goal is not simply to mount a drill on an excavator. It is to turn the excavator into the drilling machine the work demands.

rotary

Choose from a range of Bay Shore-designed and manufactured rotary gearboxes, with torque capacities from 21,500 to 100,000 ft-lb.

Winch

Match the kelly winch to the required drilling depth and production demands, with available single-layer line pull up to 25,000 lbs and high-speed configurations on select models.

Kelly Bars

Select from round-locking or square-friction kelly bars in configurations designed around the required drilling depth, overhead clearance and ground conditions.

Mast

Configure the mast for the work ahead, from extended configurations capable of drilling up to 100 feet deep to short-mast options for severely restricted overhead clearance.

Carrier

Match the DH to nearly any major manufacturer’s excavator platform, from 15-ton carriers to 50-ton machines. Whether the carrier is new from the dealer or already in your fleet, Bay Shore configures the complete drilling system around the machine and the work it needs to perform.
