Real Torque

For Tight Access

Built To Go Where Bigger Rigs Cannot

LAD stands for Limited Access Drilling, and that’s exactly what these rigs were built for—getting into places where overhead, access, and working room rule out a conventional drill. Compact carriers, low attachment heights, and unobtrusive frames make them a good fit inside buildings, around residential foundations, beneath power lines, and anywhere space is limited.

The LAD Series puts the drilling capacity where it can actually be used, giving crews the depth, torque, and control to keep working once the rig is in place.

When Space Is Limited

Every Inch Matters

When access is limited, every part of the rig has to work within the space available. Each LAD is configured around the job’s overhead clearance, access points, carrier requirements, drilling depth and ground conditions. From attachment height and mast configuration to the rotary, winch and kelly bars, we work with you to build a rig that fits the site and still delivers the drilling performance the work demands.

The goal is not size for the sake of size. It is the torque, depth and capacity the work demands.

rotary

Choose from a range of Bay Shore-designed and manufactured gearboxes, with torque capacities from 14,200 to 40,000 ft-lb.

Winch

Match the kelly winch to the drilling depth and kelly configuration, with available single-layer line pull up to 18,000 lbs.

Kelly Bars

Select from round-locking or square friction kelly bars in configurations designed around the required drilling depth, overhead clearance and ground conditions.

Mast

Match the mast and attachment height to the parameters of the job, including configurations ranging from 8 to 11 ft.

Carrier

Configure the LAD around a compact carrier that can reach the work. Bay Shore Systems can build on nearly any major manufacturer’s platform, whether it comes new from the dealer or from your existing fleet.
